• Amazon is expected to hire a total of 40,000 employees over the next 14 years. This has led to loads of potential executives contacting brokers over showings for some apartments. Open houses in the area increased by 400% for existing and new apartments.

• There has been deal volume totaling close to $2 billion in sales. This has been steadily increasing over the years with a development pipeline of $4 million and 400,000 sq feet set to be available.
•  As the residential sales keep booming so is the demand for retailers. Thousands of consumers will need to be pleased through key services that will strengthen all this hype. Some of the needs include pharmacies, restaurants and grocery stores.
• Being a short train ride away from Manhattan is certainly one of the biggest appeals to come to LIC. Being connected by 17 bus lines, 13 train stations and major highways certainly adds to that convenience factor.
